This pack moves across all three channels of the amp, from clear, harmonically rich cleans into edge-of-breakup, pushed rhythm, and thicker drive tones. Every capture was made through the amp’s own Matchless 2x12 cabinet loaded with Celestion G12H30 speakers, preserving the sound and feel of the combo as a complete amp.
The Independence 35 runs on EL34 power tubes, giving DEPENDENCE a firm low end, strong midrange push, and a beautiful sense of weight under the fingers. It still has that unmistakable Matchless clarity and harmonic detail, but with its own voice, feel, and gain range.
For this Quad Cortex release, I wanted to keep the focus right where it belongs: on the amp and cab sounds themselves. No complicated preset maze, no extra fluff — just the core Matchless-inspired chime, punch, grit, and drive, captured and ready for you to build around inside your own Quad Cortex rig.
