FIRESPIT for TONEX captures my Matchless Spitfire through its own Matchless 1x12 cabinet loaded with a Celestion G12H-75 Creamback — focused right on the sound and feel that made me love this amp in the first place.
This updated V2 release includes 5 new captures across a range of gain stages, moving from clean and chimey into edge-of-breakup and pushed Matchless grind. These are the captures I’d suggest starting with. They feel open, touch-sensitive, and really true to the way this amp responds through its own cab.
For this refresh, I wanted to keep the focus right where it belongs: the Spitfire, its Creamback-loaded cab, and the sounds I reach for most. No complicated folder maze, no endless variations — just a strong core set of captures that covers the heart of the FIRESPIT range.
As a bonus, I’ve also included all of my previous FIRESPIT TONEX captures, so you’ll still have access to everything I’ve made with this amp. The new V2 Creamback captures are the main event, but the older files are there if you want them.
