This Quad Cortex edition includes 17 Neural Captures made with the updated V2 capture algorithm — 14 amp/preamp captures and 3 drive captures — built from a handful of my favorite bass tone tools:

Some of these drives are baked into the amp/preamp captures for ready-to-go bass tones, and the drives were also captured separately to give you more flexibility when building your own presets inside Quad Cortex.
The goal of FOUNDATION is simple: give the bassists of the world — and the guitarists who occasionally have to pretend they’re bassists — a solid place to start. Big low end, clean articulation, usable grit, and enough punch to sit right in a mix without having to fight for it.
This pack was dialed using passive bass pickups, so the gain staging and harmonic response were built around the output and feel of passive instruments. Active pickups may require small input or gain adjustments.
A quick note on the Tone Hammer: this Quad Cortex edition uses an Aguilar Tone Hammer V1. It has the warmth, punch, and midrange character that made the Tone Hammer such a staple, and it fits beautifully alongside the Bassman, Colour Box, and Noble captures in this pack.
